Calvià Town Hall will transfer a plot of land in Peguera to IBAVI for the construction of VPOs (subsidised housing)
It will be approved on Thursday's Plenary session and will expand the offer of VPOs for residents in the municipality
Calvià Town Hall will transfer a plot of land in Peguera to IBAVI for the construction of VPOs. This will be agreed on Thursday's ordinary Plenary session corresponding to the month of November. The plot - located at 2 Bonavida St. - is valued, according to the cadastre, at 898.000 euros, has an area of 5.850 square metres and is urbanistically qualified for use in the construction of subsidised multi-family housing. The plot has all the necessary services and supplies, the development of urban planning actions is not pending and is free of all charges.
The agreement is based on IBAVI's commitment to allocate space for the construction of VPO's. This dates back to May 2022 when the first protocol was signed between the Consistory and the Government of the Balearic Islands. During the following year, said protocol was paralysed and it is now when the Town Hall and IBAVI have resumed it to formalise the agreement that makes the transfer and subsequent construction of the homes effective.
It has been agreed that once the VPOs are built, the Town Hall and IBAVI will agree on the award procedure's terms and conditions, which must include as a preferential contingent the people registered in Calvià who can prove continuous and effective residence in the municipality for the time to be determined.
