In accordance with the provisions of the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and the Information Society, under the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, in general terms the LSSI does not apply in the field of Public Administrations, since they do not have the nature of information society service providers defined in its annex. Only the LSSI will be applicable if the activity of the Administration has an economic nature.

What is a cookie and what are they used for?

Types of Cookies

Cookies, depending on their permanence, can be classified as session and permanent cookies. _utma 2 years It generates a unique ID user and it records the date, the first and the last time the user visited the website.
_utmb 30 min. It registers the arrival time at the website, and is automatically deleted when changing web or closing the browser.
_utmc Session It determines whether more than 30 minutes have elapsed on the same website or not to establish a new session for the user.
_utmv Session It allows demographic data segmentation from the registration data obtained.
_utmz 6 months It stores the visitor's origin and the path followed to access the website. It updates each time the website is visited.

Youtube cookies
GPS 1 day It registers a unique identification to allow tracking according to geographical location by GPS.
PREF 8 months It records a unique ID that Google uses to keep statistics on how the visitor uses YouTube videos on different websites.
VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE 179 days It tries to calculate the user's bandwidth on websites with integrated YouTube videos.
YSC Session It registers a unique identification to keep statistics of what YouTube videos the user has seen.

How can cookies use be deactivated?

Cookies use can be deactivated, modifying the browser settings. As a general rule, this action is usually found in the "Tools" or "Preferences" menu. Thus, it is possible to stop accepting browser cookies, or stop accepting cookies from a specific service.
