Calvià brings forward the celebration of Book Day to Saturday 20th April with a day full of activities in Palmanova

From 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. the Passeig de la Mar will host activities, bookstores and book signings with guest authors

Calvià anticipates 23rd April with an outdoor day to celebrate Book Day. The Passeig de la Mar in Palmanova will be the meeting point for reading lovers and culture next Saturday, 20th April. From 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., attendees will be able to explore the bookstore stalls that will present their bibliographical news, participate in signing sessions with writers, and enjoy numerous activities for adults and children. The event has been organised by the Municipal Institute of Education and Libraries (IMEB) of the Town Hall.

In this year's edition, seven bookstores will meet with nine authors who will sign copies of their books and will attend visitors. The Municipal Library coordinator, Cristina López, has listed some of the activities such as "the 'Colla de Dimonis' visit , traditional games, story-telling in the morning and afternoon, workshops for the whole family, face painting, books and roses will be sold... "If the weather is good it will be a spectacular day."

In addition to the activities organised by Ludoteca de Jardí, there will be demonstrations and robotics games from EasyRobotics. The animation will be provided by the Batucada Valkyria and the presence of the 'Dimonis Comte Mal'. On stage, at 11:30 a.m., Dakini i els 4 vents by Contes del Món de N'Aina, offering a multicultural narrative experience. In the afternoon, at 4:00 p.m., Serena's English Puppet Theatre, with Serena Zahnke, who will present a puppet show in English.
