The Department of Town Planning has the mission of contributing to a balanced development of the territory, supported by an adequate structuring of space and a planning of the population nuclei. Always with a responsible management of the natural resources, protection of the environment, the conservation, rehabilitation and restauration of the buildings, with the final aim of enabling a balanced social-economic development, that improves the level and quality of life of the population.
