THE TOWN HALL WILL “STRONGLY” FINE THOSE TAXI DRIVERS NOT COMPLYING WITH THE COLLABORATION AGREEMENT SIGNED BETWEEN PALMA AND CALVIÀ
The Deputy Mayor for Mobility and Transport, Manuel Mas, maintains permanent contact with the taxi sector of the municipality
Calvià Town Hall will strongly fine the taxi drivers who do not comply with the collaboration agreement signed weeks ago between the taxis of the municipality and those of Palma. Manuel Mas met on Monday with the taxi sector in a meeting attended by the president of Radio Taxi Calvià, Mari Carmen Navarro. This meeting responds to the commitment made by the Government team to maintain a “constant monitoring” regarding compliance with an agreement that aims to improve the service in Calvià and Palma.
Mas has stressed that the agreement is "bearing fruits" after the first few days of application. "However, a small number of taxi drivers are breaking the agreement, picking up clients in unauthorised areas." Faced with this situation, Calvià Town Hall insists that it will remain vigilant to prevent that this type of situations that generate unrest in the taxi sector are repeated again.
