CALVIÀ TOWN HALL POSTPONES THE BEGINNING OF THE MUNICIPAL TAXES PAYMENT PERIOD AND WILL REIMBURSE ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE STREET OCCUPATION TAX FOR BARS AND RESTAURANTS
This first series of measures is completed with reimbursements for nurseries and other actions related to the ORA, public prices and markets.
The Calvià Town hall, within the scope of its competency, launches a first package of measures to support citizens in general and small businesses, in face of the alarm situation dictated by the State Government that forces the population to be confined and the temporary closure of many businesses.
The measurements are as follows:
Tax payment:
-The start of the voluntary payment of municipal taxes is postponed. The start is delayed to 1st July and lasts until 15th November (now the voluntary payment period is from June 1 to August 16).
In addition, tax payment division will be facilitated. For those who did not request it before 21st December 2019, as was originally required, an extraordinary period will be opened for them to file the request.
Discounts for nurseries:
-One hundred percent of the nurseries monthly payment for April will be subsidised to all the families. The monthly payments are paid at the beginning of each month, so, to compensate the closing of the second half of March and the first of April, all April will be exempt from paying.
-On the other hand, families that have been affected by a loss of income due to the coronavirus, or have had problems in being hired, will also receive a 100 percent discount on the receipt for May and June. They must make a responsible statement to justify declines in income or delay in hiring.
Discounts on street occupation tax:
-Bars, cafes and restaurants that have paid the street occupation tax with tables and chairs will be reimbursed with one hundred percent of the entire year 2020 amount.
-The ones that have not yet paid, will receive a hundred percent discount on the 2020 rate, upon request for a license to occupy the public area.
Markets:
-A resolution will be issued to return the amount of the municipal market stalls that have not been able to carry out the activity during these days.
O.R.A.:
-The implementation of the parking payment in the blue areas of the municipality, is postponed for a month, until May, without this meaning any damage to the company awarded the service or to its workers.
Public prices for sports facilities and Cultural Centres:
-In the case of the subscription for using sports facilities, the amount will be refunded by deducting the next receipts, that is, whoever has paid the first semester will receive a discount for one hundred percent for the second semester payment, or the first semester of 2021. Those who had paid the annual subscription will receive a one hundred percent discount for the first semester of 2021.
-As for Cultural Centres activities (in this case they are managed according to school year, per semester), those who have paid the second semester of the 2019-2020 course (February-June 2020), will receive a full discount for the following semester (October 2020 to February 2021).
The Calvià Town Hall government team continues to work to carry out new measures to alleviate, as much as possible, the damage caused by the coronavirus, complementing the measures carried out by the State Government and the Balearic Islands Government.
